Si's GTR

Simon came to us with his R35 GTR with one objective in mind - to make the fastest road car possible, while still remaining genuinely usable. This is the same objective he approached another UK tuning company with a few years ago, the result was an EVO 7 with a claimed 1000hp. Unfortunately this car was far from the usable road car he was promised, and proved horribly ridden with problems and relentless unreliability.

We are pleased to say that this time round has been much more successful. The first step was a Litchfield ‘Stage 5’ upgrade including hybrid turbos, in this spec the car was easily developing north of 700hp on 95ron fuel and was all the car one man could need for road duty. Simon however, does not see things like most other men! After a few months and many thousand miles he decided he ‘needed’ more, and we were more than happy to oblige! The R35 was then treated to a full Litchfield ‘3.8 Sport’ engine along with an ETS HTA3586 turbo kit - the results are nothing short of hilarious. With well over 900 horsepower it really does feel like you are trapped in a cartoon when the boost comes in - regardless of what gear you are in. And yes, this still is the full time ‘family car’!
